Oxford Adventist Church said goodbye to one of its founders and supporters, Mr. Dennis Porter. Mr Porter, a historian and preacher, moved to Australia in August 2011. The move though tinged with sadness for the Oxford church family was to be a joyful reunion, as he is to be married for the second time to a long time friend he knew from his youth. Mr Porter served the Oxford SDA church in many capacities, his last being church treasurer. He worked with the church board to establish the fabric and contents of the current church, as well as preaching not only in Oxford, but also in many churches across the Union. He will be missed. We pray for his new life in Australia.
